The Path of Legacy Magic
10 things everyone should know when following their purposeful path
Legacy magic means choosing your aligned path. It’s the beginning of a whole new chapter.
“Legacy magic” gives your life aliveness, purpose, and meaning — when you hit that path, you really feel greatness. But that doesn’t mean it’s easy.
Everyone deserves to know about choosing a path to impact and alignment — that’s why I’ve gathered a list of 10 things I wish I’d known in the 10 years of harnessing my own legacy magic. You might not get to skip 10 years of lessons, but think of this as your treasure map on your path to purpose.
10 important things to remember when following your “magical” path.
1) The path isn’t easy, but it’s clear.
People will reveal themselves in a way where it’s black and white, you know what’s working and what’s not, and you know what feels like flow and what’s like pushing a boulder up a hill. The path of “Legacy Magic” is still filled with many ups and downs, hope and heartbreaks, but the next steps always become crystal clear.
With clarity, comes peace.
2) Prioritize doing nothing.
I think rest and breaks are the secret to living a long, happy, love-filled life . In the moments of overwhelm or anxiety, there’s nothing like a nap or sitting in silence — the answers I need to hear come to me in the quiet
3) Share support and success.
Having a strong community of people cheering you on and also being able to take the wins as a team, accelerates everyone’s impact, success, and connection.
4) Choose outcomes over optics.
What’s most important are the positive outcomes of your work and the positive impact you can create. Press, public speaking, public image (social media, etc.), and public endorsements are important for awareness building and motivates people to show up to events, but if you spend most of your time on optics, please know it’s a distraction.
5) The best business model is excellence.
If you’re great at what you do and you’re consistently delivering excellence, you’ll find a business model that makes sense. It’s word of mouth and referrals that will stick the best and most effectively grow your business and mission.
6) Show up and do what you say.
This is very simple, but extremely rare to find in people. If you commit to this, your character is above 90% most. You’re a self-made unicorn of character.
7) Growth is always 2-sided.
When things are going great, expect moments or days of anxiety. Excitement and anxiety are flip sides of the same coin. When you’re reaching new heights, there will be friends, loved ones, and peers who won’t make the journey with you. Expect for everything to be “both and.”
P.S. If you notice you stepping into your greatness and it “feels” scary, please remember that it could just be you upper-limiting.
8) The best life model is one-step at a time.
No need to get ahead of yourself. If you focus on one step at a time, it’s amazing how much you can accomplish when times get tough. It’s also unbelievable how consistently taking small steps leads to big breakthroughs — in time.
9) Receive.
I’ve found that what comes to me tends to be what’s meant for me. Pay attention to the opportunities and ideas that people propose to me vs. what you try to force into the world.
10) Have old friends.
You can’t make new old friends. I’ve certainly missed the mark on this one in my 20s and 30s, as I’ve been laser focused on career and building, but it’s IMPERATIVE to have people around you who want nothing from you, but you; whether that’s your spouse, your kids, your neighbors, or your childhood friends — the grounding that comes when people love you for being you.
It’s like the ambrosia of resilience. The Beatles really got it right when they said the below:
Now take this treasure map and get on the path. The world needs more magic.
